ABOUT
Mission Statement
For centuries, writing has bridged the gap between human thought and emotion and material reality. The act of writing has varied from recording, to communicating, to storytelling, and to expressing, proving itself as one of the strongest abilities an individual may possess. In today’s digital world, writing has grown in importance - it is a sure way to connect back to people that walked the Earth much before us, and to tell others not only what we think and want and dream, but also who we are, even amidst challenge and confusion.
The Writers’ Crossroads aims to utilize technology to create a space in which a bond can be fostered between writers across the world, and to provide an opportunity for writers to begin gaining a public voice. Young writers from the ages of 14-20 are encouraged to submit their work to TWC, published every 2 months, to play a vital role in cultivating this community.
In the wise words of Martin Luther, “If you want to change the world, pick up your pen and write.”
Why Young Writers?
The Writers’ Crossroads is geared towards individuals of 14-20 years of age, and not without good reason! This period in one’s life has been identified as middle adolescence - a time when teenagers are able to connect the most through undergoing similar phases and experiences. It is established as a critical time to develop identity and independence, and writing is a medium through which both of these things can be found.
Our 3 Main Objectives:

Distribution
To create a platform on which young writers can share their work.

Discussion
To foster collaboration and connection between creators.

Delivery
To give a voice and opportunity for public presence to writers across the world.
