SUBMISSION
Author’s Rights:
The Writers’ Crossroads requests First North American Serial Rights. All rights revert back to the author upon publication.
What is the “theme”?
Every two months, The Writers’ Crossroads publishes a theme to which any and all creators are invited to submit their own, original pieces.
How many pieces are selected?
At most, 10 poems, 10 nonfiction pieces, and 10 prose fiction pieces will be selected to be published, along with 3 runners-up for each category, published in a “Special Mentions” section. Please refrain from submitting more than one piece to a single category, but writers are welcome to submit to more than one category (if you choose to do so, please include all of your submissions in a singular email).
Are there submission guidelines?
Yes! The Writers’ Crossroads looks for creative pieces that go beyond impressive diction and explore human nature, communicating a central message. Any discriminatory or non-inclusive pieces will not be considered for publication. To submit, you must be within the frame of 14-20 years of age. With your submission, include a 3-5 sentence biography that includes your name, hometown, and any other information you view as pertinent to your career and identity as a writer.
How can I submit?
To submit, please send an email to twcsubmission@gmail.com that includes your piece(s) in PDF format. Your email should be titled, “Category Entry: Title of Your Piece” (ex. Prose Fiction Entry: Window Pane). If you are submitting to more than one category, please repeat this format as many times as needed in the title of your email (ex. Poetry Entry: Red Leaf; Prose Fiction Entry: Window Pane). The submission deadline will be shown on the Home Page.
What are the categories?
There are three possible options for submission:
